About this forum

Diesel Pickup Forum opened in November 2025 for people who own a 3/4 or 1 ton diesel pickup and want answers from other owners instead of a sales pitch or a tuner ad.

That means the Ram 2500 and 3500 with the 6.7 Cummins, the Super Duty F-250 through F-450 with the 6.7 Power Stroke, and the Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD with the Duramax. Older trucks are welcome. A 2003 with a 5.9 gets the same attention as a 2025 with a payment book.

The forum is run by Tracy L., who posts as mod_tracy_l. Tracy spent sixteen years as a mechanic in a state highway shop in Cheyenne, mostly on snowplow trucks and loaders, and now runs a one person ag equipment repair business out of a pole barn east of town. She drives a 2017 F-350 XLT with the 6.7 and 190,000 miles, and she reads the contact mailbox herself, slower during calving season when half her customers need something welded.

What it costs

The server is about ten dollars a month and the domain was under fifteen for the year. Tracy pays both. There are no ads on any page, no affiliate codes in any link, and nobody has paid for a thread or a spot in one. The forum is member run, and if that ever changes it will say so on this page first.

House rules

  • Year, engine, transmission and SRW or dually in the first line of a question. A 2019 Ram 3500 dually with the high output Cummins and the Aisin is a different truck from a 2019 Ram 2500 with the 68RFE.
  • No delete or tuning how-tos. Threads asking how to remove a DPF, EGR or SCR system get locked. Fixing those systems, and putting a deleted truck back to stock, is welcome.
  • Buying reports include the numbers. What you paid, where it came from, what it cost to get it home.
  • No selling trucks or parts inside threads. There is no classifieds board, on purpose.
  • If you work for a dealer, a lender, an auction or a transport company, say so when it comes up.
  • Be decent. Cummins, Power Stroke and Duramax owners all share the same three boards.

What this is not

Not a dealer, not a broker, not a shop and not the factory service manual. When somebody here gives you a torque spec, a tow rating or a tire pressure, check it against the sticker on your own truck before you hook up a trailer.
